One of the things that makes Breakthrough unique is the support we offer to the whole family, and not just the student who is placed with us. Every centre has a dedicated Family Worker who liaises between the parents or guardians and the centre, offering both emotional and practical support. They also help facilitate peer support amongst parents, via their regular Time2Gether sessions. These support sessions have a different craft focus each time and offer an invaluable opportunity to talk and share experiences.
From festive wreaths to clay modelling, we offer something different each time, but the atmosphere is truly lovely every time we get together. As is the cake!
