Here at Breakthrough College we are passionate about seeing young people succeed where they haven’t been able to in the past. We warmly welcome each young person as an individual and start our support with the things they need most. We meet them ‘where they are at’.   

We provide education, therapeutic support and a nurturing environment for children and young people with communication and interaction needs; social, emotional and mental health needs; complex diagnoses; learning difficulties; as well as trauma-based needs and other challenges. We deliver a bespoke and personalised curriculum and timetable designed around the needs of the individual. 

We understand that finding and accessing the right provision can be daunting. It is expected that the child or young person will have an EHCP (Educational Health Care Plan) in place. We are then able to take referrals via three different routes:

• The Local Authority SEND Team 
• Student’s current on-roll school
• Career South West or other career service

Visits to our centres are possible following the receipt of a consult and/or request directly from one of the above referral routes.
