Not satisfied with just marking World Mental Health Day last week, we turned it into a whole week of awareness-raising activities. This included Tea and Talks (with cake of course!) where staff and students encouraged each other to discuss feelings and aspirations amongst other topics.

Each centre created a staff photo wall to showcase the kinds of things we do to enhance our own mental health. These were great conversation starters and a really important tool for modelling positive self care activities.

Other activities from the week included sampling different healthy foods for wellbeing, singing and walks. Students also completed questionnaires and gave suggestions for future activities which was wonderful. It’s so important for students to feel heard and to know that because of their voice things have changed.
