Psychology in Action

A key part of both the GCSE and A Level Psychology syllabus is the topic of biopsychology.

Biopsychology looks at how human behaviour can be explained in terms of biology. It investigates how the brain, hormones, neurons and neurotransmitters influence human thought, emotions and behaviours. Neurons enable communication within the nervous system, transmitting signals both electrically and chemically.

A recent GCSE session saw the student using play-doh to make and label the neuron structure. It was such a great way of nimating the subject and making it easier to remember the structure and its component parts, and we love how the student has brought these tiny elements to life here.
