Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse. It is a hands-on way for us to help children in need across the world by filling shoeboxes with toys, personal care items, school supplies, and fun gifts. This year at Breakthrough we have been collecting gifts, care items, stationery and toys to create a series of shoeboxes that will be sent to children across the globe. Students and staff have been very generous with their time and donations, and it has been lovely to see students decorating the shoeboxes and writing personal notes to the recipients.
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and we’ve been happy to be a part of that.
