It’s been wonderful to see all our students and colleagues again with the start of the new term, and to welcome so many new faces. We want to say thank you to everyone for making the start of this academic year such a positive one. We always take time at the start of term to reconnect with our students and make sure we understand everything that has changed (and stayed the same) for them over the summer. Of course, we also revisit EHCPs and learning goals to ensure we’re on track.
This new term has seen students beginning a range of qualifications, continuing with existing studies and developing independent living skills with different excursions and activities. So far this term we’ve seen students go on a geology field trip to the Jurassic coast, and undertake research trips for their writing to both the aquarium and the new poetry vending machine in Drake’s Circus, for example.
